Film producer and a veteran nollywood artiste Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello has applauded Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on the presentation of a N200m loan to 37 filmmakers.
Oga Bello, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues after the cheque presentation commended the Sanwo-Olu-led government with promise that the funds will be judiciously harnessed and timely paid back without hindrances.
Governor Sanwo Olu who was represented by the Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf during the presentation of cheques to the beneficiaries of the special interest-free loan to filmmakers at the Glover Memorial Hall, Lagos, said the initiative aims to “address financial challenges that inhibit quality film production in Lagos and Nigeria”.
