Inmates in Nigeria Correctional Center in Ekiti state have appealed to the State Governor Biodun Oyebanji to have mercy on them by granting them Amnesty.
The spokesperson of the inmates stated this when members of BAO MUSLIM WOMEN PRAYER GROUP visited the correctional center to observe IFTAR with the Muslim inmates.

The IMAM however told them “not to go back to crime but make themselves useful to the society if they eventually get released from custody.”
In her remark, the Cordinator of BAO MUSLIM WOMEN PRAYER GROUP ALH. Zainab Ogunlayi who led members of the group said “the visit was to enable the inmates break their fast with food and water donated which is one of what Allah has commanded.”
