As political activities intensify ahead of the June 20 governorship election in Ekiti State, the Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters to the Wife of the Governor, Mrs. Toyin Adepoju, has called on residents of Ward 4 in Ado Local Government Area to come out en masse and vote for Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) for a second term in office.
Mrs. Adepoju made the appeal during a political road show tagged “BAO to BAO Street Walk,” held across major communities within Ward 4, Ado-Ekiti.

Addressing participants and residents during the event, the governor’s aide said the initiative was conceived to further mobilise grassroots support for Governor Oyebanji and highlight the administration’s achievements over the past three and a half years.
According to her, the street walk was borne out of the conviction that the governor has demonstrated exemplary leadership and delivered impactful projects across critical sectors of the state’s economy, making him deserving of another four-year mandate.

She noted that the Oyebanji administration has recorded significant strides in infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, youth empowerment, women development and social welfare programmes, adding that continuity would enable the government to consolidate on its achievements.
Mrs. Adepoju urged eligible voters across the ward and the state at large to turn out massively on election day and cast their ballots for the incumbent governor, stressing that a renewed mandate would guarantee sustained growth and development for Ekiti State.
“The achievements recorded by Governor Biodun Oyebanji in a relatively short period are visible across the state. The overwhelming support he continues to enjoy from the people is a reflection of the confidence they have in his administration. We are encouraging all residents to come out on June 20 and vote for continuity, progress and prosperity,” she said.
The colourful road show attracted party supporters, community leaders, women groups, youths and other stakeholders who marched through several streets within the ward, chanting solidarity songs and displaying campaign materials in support of the governor.
Speaking during the event, prominent participants including Prince Suyi Aladesanmi and Mrs. Mosun Tunji-Saliu commended Mrs. Adepoju for organising the mobilisation exercise.
They described the initiative as timely and strategic, noting that grassroots engagement remains a critical factor in democratic participation and electoral success.
The duo also appealed to residents of Ekiti State to reciprocate the governor’s developmental efforts by voting overwhelmingly for him in the forthcoming election.
Ward 4 of Ado-Ekiti comprises 38 polling units spanning communities from Ijigbo to Ajebandele, making it one of the largest and politically significant wards in the state capital.
Observers at the event described the turnout as an indication of growing grassroots support for Governor Oyebanji as campaigns enter the final stretch ahead of the governorship poll.
