The conviction of prophet Babatunde Alfa into life imprisonment over disappearance of a one year old boy,Gold Kolawole in his Church, Sotitobire Praising Chapel in November 2019 has been subverted by an Appeal Court sitting in Akure,Ondo state.
An Ondo State High court in 2019 had sentenced the Prophet to life imprisonment over the incident.
The Sotitobire founder had requested his conviction be nullified by the appeal court.
The court which eventually discharged and acquited the Prophet declared that the circumstantial evidence the high court based its judgement is not enough for conviction.
