Oye LG sets to Produce First Female Boss

In preparation for the forthcoming local government election in Ekiti state,Oye Local Government area has expressed readiness to Produce the first female Chairman. This is just as the prospective Chairman and the aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC, Rev. Mrs Funmi Agbaje promised to make the local government area a pacesetter.

Some people in the local government who spoke with our Newshereandthere described Hon. Agbaje as a dedicated politician who is passionate in grassroots development , they added that giving such personality an opportunity to govern at the grassroot , would enable her to harness her political experience and compassion for the benefit of the people.

They stated,”woman has never been given chance to be the CHAIRMAN of the Local Government. There must be gender equality in the governance of Oye Local Government. Woman should be favoured and considered to be voted for as CHAIRMAN in this forthcoming Local Government Election.

“Advocating woman to become the Chairman of Oye Local Government is synonymous to Competence, Accessibility, Credibility, Accountability, Dependability.”

Other Prominent attribute of
Mrs Agbaje according to the residents is maturity in Grassroot politics.

“She was a former Supervisor for health in the Local Government. Due to her meritorious service in the Local Government,she was honoured with the GOLDEN AWARD AS “THE VISIONARY & POLITICAL ICON” by Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees(NULGE)Oye Local Government Branch. She has experience and vibrant to make Oye Local Government a PACESETTER” , they added..
