Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu said having Passion in acting is very crucial for an artiste to be successful in film industry, she added that the new generation of Nollywood actors never went through the experience of the predecessors .
The thespian whoe spoke on the ‘Talk To B’ podcast, said: “It was tough for all of us. Even though I know the new generation of actors are enjoying, they never suffered half of what we suffered. We are the pioneers; we have laid the ground for you people to walk on.”
Nwosu stated that without passion, an individual will be discouraged by challenges. “In as much as this job has become an all-comers affair, we need people that know their onions. The industry has become a place where people use what they have to get what they want. If you don’t have a passion for acting, with one challenge you will fall by the wayside. If you have passion for it, no matter the storm, there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
She further noted that it took a lot of time for people to realize that she is actually Igbo.
“It took people a lot of time to know I am actually Igbo. At a point people were wondering how I could speak Yoruba despite being igbo.They ask if either of my parents are Yorubas and I would say my mother is Igbo and my father is Igbo” the actress said..
