First Lady’s Aide Hosts Back-to-School Program

….. Donates Learning Materials to Pupils in Ado-Ekiti

The Senior Special Assistant to the Wife of the Governor on Political Matters (SAPOL), Hon. Toyin Adepoju, has reaffirmed her commitment to educational development in Ekiti State by organizing a Welcome Back to School Program for pupils of St. Andrew’s Anglican Pilot Nursery and Primary School and St. Daniel’s Primary School, Oke-Ila, Ado-Ekiti.

The event, held on Wednesday at the premises of St. Andrew’s Anglican Pilot School, was colorful and lively, attracting pupils, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders in the education sector. It marked the beginning of a new academic session with renewed hope and excitement for the children.

In her remarks, Hon. Adepoju who also serves as the South West Coordinator of the Reserved Seats for Women Bill described education as the greatest legacy society can give its younger generation. She noted that the program and the distribution of educational materials were designed to encourage pupils to remain focused and excel in their studies.

“Education is the bedrock of development. These gifts may appear simple, but they carry a powerful message that we believe in you, and we want you to succeed”. She said.

According to her, Primary 5 and 6 pupils of St. Andrew’s received notebooks and mathematical sets, while pupils from Kindergarten 1 to Primary 3 were presented with notebooks and water bottles to make learning more engaging. She further extended the gesture to Primary 6 pupils of St. Daniel’s, who received notebooks to aid their studies.

Hon. Adepoju also expressed appreciation to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and the First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, for providing her the platform to carry out the initiative and for their unwavering support for education in Ekiti State.

In her welcome address, the Headmistress of St. Andrew’s primary school, described the program as a “divine blessing” that would ease the burden on parents and motivate pupils to strive for academic excellence. She commended Hon. Adepoju, the First Lady, and the Oyebanji-led administration for their continuous investment in education, stressing that the initiative was in line with the Governor’s vision of prioritizing students’ welfare.

Also speaking at the event, Mr. Oluwatoyin Omotoso praised Hon. Adepoju for her cheerful spirit of giving and encouraged the pupils to emulate her example by staying committed, diligent, and resilient in their academics. He equally expressed gratitude to all who supported the program while praying for more growth and success in the schools.

The highlight of the program was the distribution of the learning materials, which the pupils received with excitement and joy, creating an atmosphere of celebration that set a positive tone for the new school year.
