Oke said witnessing another Eid el Kabir festival was a special grace from the Almighty Allah on the Muslim Ummah in the state which has elicited thanksgiving among them.
The number one teacher said the festival provides an opportunity for Muslims to deepen their relationship with their Creator for His love for mankind as exemplified by the experience of Prophet Ibrahim as a humble servant of the Almighty Allah.
He described Eid el Kabir as “a festival of sacrifice that teaches the Muslim faithful the lessons of humility, piety, devotion and total surrender to the will of the Almighty Allah who has the final say on human destiny”.
Oke noted that Allah rewarded Prophet Ibrahim’s readiness to surrender his son Ishmael by providing a ram which was sacrificed in place of the son noting that the gesture has taught lessons on making sacrifices for one another.
