Primate Elijah Ayodele has cautioned Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to prepare for possible political challenges ahead of her forthcoming election, alleging that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is making efforts to defeat her at the polls.
The cleric issued the warning in a statement shared on his official Facebook page on Friday, October 16, 2026.
He urged the senator to take the situation seriously, claiming that political moves were underway that could threaten her chances of victory.
According to Ayodele, Akpoti-Uduaghan should not become complacent, as he believes her opponents may be working to weaken her electoral prospects.
“Natasha, you had better wake up. They are planning everything to make you lose this election,” he said.
Ayodele further alleged that the APC was intensifying its preparations ahead of the election and exploring different ways to prevent the senator from winning.
“Sincerely, you may not take my words seriously, but the APC is planning seriously now. They are exploring every means to rig you out,” he said.
The cleric also expressed doubts about whether the senator would secure justice through the courts if the outcome did not favour her, warning that legal action might not reverse an unfavourable result.
“If they rig you out, no court will save you, Natasha,” he added.
Despite acknowledging that Akpoti-Uduaghan enjoys public support, the cleric argued that popular backing alone might not guarantee electoral success.
“The people love you, but the electoral process does not favour you. The process will fail you,” he said.
