Residents in Sokoto state were excited at the news of the demise of notorious bandit, Kachallah Buzu, who was gunned down by gallant troops in Zamfara state.
The residents jubilate, praised the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the military authorities over the gigantic achievement.
They hoped that the elimination of Kachallah Buzu would pave the way for the capture of Bello Turji and other notorious criminals.
Speaking with newsmen in Sokoto over the incident, the Chairman, Coalition of Young Traders, Alhaji Aliyu Shugaba Maiyadi praised the president Bola Tinubu and military authority stated that the president is more than serious to contain banditry in the Northwest and Nigeria
“With this development, it is clear that the president is more than serious and pray that the military will sustain to subdue the criminal elements in our society
Maiyadi hailed the bravery and swift action of the military, expressing their grateful for the gallant efforts of the nation’s troops who have brought an end to the reign of terror unleashed by Kachallah Halilu Buzu Sububu and his cohorts.
Alhaji Aliyu Maiyadi described the victory as a testament to the unwavering commitment of Nigerian military to protecting the lives and livelihoods of the citizens.
He said, people of Sokoto state has indeed, expressed their gratitude to the Minister of state defense, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, Nigerian Army and all other security agencies over their patriotic commitment to end the security challenges in the region.
” Recall that just recently, the state minister of defense, Dr Bello Mutawalle was here along with Chief of Defence Staff and other service chiefs on the directives of Mr president to come to Sokoto and use it takes to contain banditry in Sokoto, Zamfara and other states in the Northwest ”
“We must be grateful to the president, state minister of defence and of course the military authorities for their swift action and achieving this feat,’ the coalition chairman stated
Maiyadi assured of the people’s support and prayers for the ongoing assaults against bandits and their hideout.
He believed that, people of Sokoto State and surrounding communities can now breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that the military is steadfast in its resolve to protect them.
Alhaji Shugaba Maiyadi noted that the victory is a morale booster, and urged the troops to continue their relentless pursuit of those who seek to harm the innocent people.

In a daring operation on Thursday, the military launched a massive assault on the bandits’ hideouts in Zamfara State, resulting in the killing of numerous bandits, including Kachallah Halilu Buzu.
The notorious bandit had, just hours before his death, called for a united front against the military, urging fellow bandits to redirect their attacks.
However, his plans were swiftly foiled by the military’s decisive action.
