NUJ Applauds Ooni, Iyalaje Oodua on Exemplary Leadership

Celebrates Arole Oodua On Birthday

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in the South West (Zone B) has commended his Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi on his efforts in rendering selfless and sacrificial services to humanity.

The NUJ in a statement signed by the newly elected Vice President in the Zone Comrade Ronke Afebioye- Samo and the secretary Comrade Abdulrazak Alege stated that the leadership stride of the Royal Father is already being manifested in his various activities geared towards the development and growth of the Yoruba nation and Nigeria as a whole.

The Zone which congratulated the Arole Oodua on his birthday noted in particular “the various intervention and mediatory roles being played by the Ooni in crucial matters that concern the security ,national development and well being of the South West and Nigeria in general

The statement added that Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has, since his enthronement as the Arole Oodua of the Yoruba race, remained a loving, caring, kind hearted and purpose driven leader whose love for humanity has made him to continue to give his best in all ramifications.

The statement reads in part: “We use this medium to appreciate the father of the Yoruba race and a purpose driven leader, in the eminent personality of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ojaja 11 of Ile-Ife, for his immense love for all.

“The Ooni has remained a very humble, peace loving and development oriented leader of all the traditional monarchs in South West Nigeria. His great love for humanity has been manifested in his selfless service for many in terms of empowerment programmes and schemes which he sponsored for his people, community development and growth projects that he financed and the many lives his benevolence has touched.

“Oba Adeyeye has been a great inspiration to leaders across board and particularly to the Nigerian youths and the South West Nigerian youths in particular many of who have enjoyed his imperial Majesty’s philanthropy..

“Indeed, the Arole Oodua’s reign has brought tremendous development to his immediate environment, Ile-Ife and Osun State and this has spread to the South West in the sense that his Imperial Majesty’s exemplary leadership has encouraged other leaders to ensure development oriented leadership elsewhere in the South West.

“The Arole Oodua has become the cynosure of all eyes for impactful leadership and a huge pride of the Yoruba race through his humane leadership style which is worthy of emulation by all leaders desiring impactful leadership in their various capacities and domains,” she said.

Comrade Samo equally lauded Princess (Dr) Toyin Kolade, who is the Iyalaje Oodua for her supportive role and exemplary leadership style in steering the ship of the market women in the South West Nigeria.

She noted in particular the Iyalaje’s immense support and encouragement to the Ooni in steering the traditional ship of the Yoruba race and on behalf of the NUJ Zone B, expressed warm gratitude and appreciation to the Iyalaje in this respect.

Comrade Samo pledged adequate supports of the leadership of the NUJ in the zone to the Iyalaje whom she described as an exemplary leader,an Amazon and a great pride for Yoruba race.

Sami also assured the Ooni of Ife of immense support in her capacity as the Vice-President , NUJ Zone B.

Comrade Ronke Afebioye Samo who is currently in the employ of the Federal Government as the Public Relations Officer, (PRO) of the National Orientation Agency, (NOA) Ekiti State, has served as the Secretary, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, for two terms, Vice Chairman NUJ, Ekiti State Council, for two terms until her recent election as the Vice President of NUJ Zone B (South West) at the recent national election that took place in Umuahia, Abia State on October 7th 2021.

“The Zone is also wishing Kabiyesi more fruitful years on the land of the living with good health and sound mind,we felicitate our Imperial Majesty.”
