3rd Year Anniversary: Ekiti Obas Salute Fayemi, Pray for Good, Committed Successor

The Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers has prayed for emergence of a good, committed and incorruptible successor that would sustain the development strides of the state governor Kayode Fayemi as being geared by the governor across all spheres of the state’s economy.

The Council in a statement by the Chairman and Onisan of Isan Ekiti, Oba Gabriel Adejuwon, expressed satisfaction about the performance of Governor Fayemi in the last three years in the saddle of governance.

They said the governor is gradually placing Ekiti on the path of greatness and sustainable development by his radical actions in all sectors of the economy.

Oba Adejuwon, congratulating the governor on the anniversary and commending his performance, which he described as outstanding and greatly satisfactory.

Oba Adejuwon, who felicitated Fayemi on the anniversary , applauded him for all his beautiful achievements, saying he has placed Ekiti on the path of sustainable development through his laudable accomplishments within the last three years.

The monarch said: “Our prayer is that God will grant the state a good, incorruptible and committed successor who would continue the good work that the Governor has started. We pray that he finishes well and good.”

The Onisan particularly praised the governor for the completion of the Ultra Modern Ekiti Civic Center and the successful hosting of the Ekiti Fountain Summit, which he simply described as outstanding.

“With specific reference to the accolades showered on Governor Fayemi by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and some Governors in Ado-Ekiti during the convocation of the Fountain Summit, Oba Adejuwon submitted that Ekiti had gotten it right at this point, in terms of good governance, and thatwhat is needed at this point is the sustainability of all the good legacies of the governor into the future.

“I want to specially congratulate our amiable and hardworking Governor on behalf of myself and the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers,
for his giant strides in office within the last three years.

“Without any doubt, and with the gail of projects commissioned over the last two weeks across the state, I can attest to the fact that Ekiti has gotten it very right at this time.”

“It is no doubt an undeniable fact that Governor Kayode Fayemi is a man of his words, and he is doing everything at his disposal despite many challenges to place the state on the map of self sufficiency in terms of the economy and food production.”

“Mr Governor is not only attracting more foreign investors into the state but he is also evolving policies that would guarantee a sustainable economy through an improved and impressive Internally Generated Revenue, mass food production and jobs creation.

“All that is left is for all of us to join hands with the Governor to finish well and good in all his promises to the people of the state.”
