The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ekiti State Chapter, has joined family, friends, and colleagues in sympathizing with the Vice President of Zone B of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Ronke Afebioye Samo, following the passing of her beloved mother, Mrs. Grace Aduke Afebioye.
In a heartfelt condolence message signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Adewumi Ademiju, and the Secretary, Comrade Funmi Falae, NAWOJ described Mama Afebioye as a woman of virtue whose life of love, wisdom, and selflessness left indelible footprints in the hearts of many.
The association noted that though Mama passed on at a ripe age, her exit remains painful, as her presence was a source of comfort and inspiration to those around her.
“We share in the grief of our dear Vice President at this difficult time. Mama’s memory will continue to be a blessing to all who encountered her, and her legacy of kindness and strength will endure. We pray that the Almighty God grants Comrade Samo and her family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and may Mama’s gentle soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement read.
NAWOJ Ekiti further assured Comrade Samo of its support, love, and prayers, emphasizing that she is not alone in her sorrow.
