My Eyes Opening To How Naija League Operates- Ekiti United TM,Adu

 

Despite the 2 nil loss to Osun United football Club in a week one NNL match, team Manager of Ekiti United Football Club, Adedeji Adu says he is gradually learning the ropes.

Despite leading EKSU football team to it’s first NUGA and WAUG games with experiences in Nigeria, Benin Repuic and Ghana, the well travelled former EKSU and Ashante Kotoko goalkeeper said though he had experienced such during his active days in football but it’s the baptism of fire for him as the technical head of a football club in the Nigeria Football League being a Team Manager

 

Adu said what transpired at the Osun United versus Ekiti United match was an eye opener though a regrettable way to learn more about the league.

The Team Manager, Ekiti United FC said Osun United scored the first goal in a controversial fashion as the goal was awarded even when the ball never crossed the line.

He noted that the attention of the General Manager of Osun United and other officials were drawn to the anormally and injustice which he said was a bane to the growth of football in the country.

However, Adedeji Adu said Ekiti United have put the week one encounter behind them and they are set for the week two encounter against Abeokuta Stormers this weekend in Ado.

He urged the fans and stakeholders to keep supporting and praying for Ekiti United FC for the team to excel this season and surpass the height attained last season when the team got to the NNL Super 8 for the first time in it’s history.

Adu praised the support of governor Kayode Fayemi and the efforts of the Management Board towards meeting the logistical needs of the team.
