Lagos Health Management Agency (LASHMA) Takes Public Awareness to Igando,Ikotun

In an attempt to improve health care delivery for the residents,the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) with the support of the state Governor Babajide Sanwo olu has extended their program to IGANDO IKOTUN AXIS and it’s environs.

LASHMA stated the effort is part of the plan to boost the access to effective, prompt, affordable and quality healthcare services for the people.

The Executive Chairman Of Ikotun Igando Local Council Development Area , LCDA,Comrade Akinsanya Lasis Ayinde and the General Manager of LASHMA were present at the public awareness.

The state health management Agency urged the residents of Igando — ikotun and it’s environs to enroll in the Health Insurance plan.

The state commissioner for health, Prof Akin Abayomi ,who inaugurated the ILERA EKO earlier February 2021 urged all residents to key into the Lagos state Health Scheme (LSHS).

“It connotes the well -been and health of all residents of Lagos state.

“The fee is very affordable. It covers registration and consultation, child sickness, chronic disease , emergency care, care of women and new born babies.

” Admission for at least 15days and also drugs. The required amount to pay by individual is 8,500 naira per annum, while a family of six that but consists of father, mother and children less than 18years and above would have to register under the individual plan.

” Other benefit includes treatment of HIV ,tuberculosis, minor surgeries such as incision drainage, herniorrhaphy, appendectomy, pharmaceutical care, health boosters and diseases prevention”

The Commissioner added that Subscribers will enjoy a lot of benefits without devoid of financial constraints.

The LCDA Chairman,Akinsanya commended Governor Sanwo -Olu for his “determination and commitment towards the provision of universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Lagos State.”

He added that the health insurance plan has provided residents of Lagos State to be conscious of their health.
