‘When I was a corper in the North fourteen Years ago, I was the best , I was given the state honour award where I served I served the community very well in Adamawa state , Nigeria , I impacted life ,they made the place like a London for me, I lived large . I sold honey in the state , its one of the things they have there, I repackaged honey I gave honey of Adamawa state a face lift ,every Saturday, I moved from one village to another to pack the honey, extract it and package it for sale people were always on queue to buy the honey from me as a corp member
.
“ I didn’t say I was from Ekiti state, wishing things should just happen and till today, they still use my voice in Adamawa state , because of what I contributed in the state, then, fourteen years ago “ as a corper, don’t say I’m from Delta, Niger, or another state and you feel you cannot impact the world , wherever you are at the moment is your calling, make impact , you must ensure you impact life , whoever close to you at that time ,it doesn’t matter their tribe , we need to move and look beyond tribe and know your neighbor is the next one to you”.
On rejection of bill pertaining to women by the federal lawmakers – she said
“the situation would pass, we are not disappointed in our men I want to tell you they are looking at it, they are reviewing it and they would come to a reasonable conclusion I don’t want to say that our men really know we are powerful, or that they are scared of us , they are scared of us because behind a successful man there is a woman, because they know our strength , we are multi task, we are not in competition with our men , we recognize them as our head ,and we are giving them that kudos all the time , the gender bill ,its not over until its finally over , they would review it ,it would favour us ,we are not giving up on it and that is why we are here today. God will help us “.
