Following the appointment of Secretaries for the 16 Local Government and 19 Local Council Development Areas of Ekiti State by governor Kayode Fayemi, the Executive Chairperson of Irewolede LCDA, Hon (Mrs) Dupe Bakare has sworn-in Hon. Isaac Komolafe as the first Executive Secretary of the Council.
The event which took place at the council secretariat, Iloro-Ekiti was attended by the Oluloro of Iloro-Ekiti, HRM Oba Oluwafemi Olugbesoye, Vice Chairman of the council, Hon Samson Kolwawole, Ijero local government APC Chairman, Mr James Awe, leader of Ijero Local Government Legislative Arm, Rt. Hon. Idowu Osunyomi,Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Gbenga Sanya, families, friends and political associates of Hon Komolafe among others.
The Council Chairperson, Hon Bakare in her speech, congratulated the new Secretary and described his appointment as well deserved. She urged the new council Scribe to “be guided by the document of oath of swearing in” and discharge his duties accordingly.
Hon Bakare commended governor Fayemi for the creation of Irewolede LCDA alongside others, stressed that the initiative has brought government closer to the people.
While congratulating Hon. Komolafe, the Oluloro of Iloro-Ekiti, His Royal Majesty, Oba James Oluwafemi Olugbesoye, described his appointment as “a round peg in a round hole, considering his enormous contributions to the development of the LCDA since its creation”.
Hon. Komolafe in his acceptance speech, expressed appreciation to governor Fayemi,his two foremost leaders, the Executive Director, Finance & Account, Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Hon Dapo Kolwawole and the former Chief of Staff to Ekiti state Governor, Hon Biodun Omoleye, for considered him fit for the position.
The Iloro-Ekiti born politician, popularly called “Komo” promised to discharge his duties diligently and work with the fear of God.
In the same vain, the former Chief of Staff to Ekiti state governor, Hon Biodun Omoleye has congratulated Hon. Isaac Komolafe on his appointment as the Executive Secretary of Irewolede LCDA.
Hon. Omoleye who was at the Irewolede secretariat, Iloro-Ekiti to rejoice with the new Secretary,urged him to see his appointment as a call to serve.
Hon. Omoleye implored Komolafe to make his tenure a memorable one and also work harmoniously with the council Chairman as well as the career officers in order to make Irewolede LCDA a model and centre of excellence.
Omoleye who had earlier donated a car to the LCDA upon its creation, further promised to make more office equipment available for the council.
