……Day Dedicated To Late Veteran Journalist, Clement Ige
All plans have been concluded by the management of ParrotXtra Media Network to celebrate the 61st birthday anniversary of the founder of the media outfit, Ambassador Olayinka Agboola on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026.
In a statement over the weekend, the outfit confirmed that a former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Iyiola Oladokun has agreed to chair a live panellists’ session during the weekly Radio Show regularly hosted by ParrotXtra Media Network on the biggest radio station in the South West of Nigeria, Splash 105.5fm, Ibadan every Tuesday.
Continued the statement: “Our usual weekly radio show on Splash 105.5fm here in Ibadan this Tuesday happens to have coincided with Amb. Agboola’s 61st birthday anniversary and we have decided to do something unusually creative by hosting a live panellists’ session.
“Apart from the chairman, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, other panellists expected on Tuesday include Senator Monsurat Sunmonu who was also a former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Bishop (Dr) Ademola Moradeyo, Hon Yinka Omikunle, a serving member of Oyo Assembly, Hon Tajudeen Adigun Adeniyi, the Chairman of Ibadan Southwest LCDA as well as Oluwaseun Omo Akinola, a senior manager at Splash 105.5fm.
Chief Dele Momodu, Chairman, Ovation International will be attending virtually because he is presently in Ghana.
The statement revealed that the topic of discussion is ‘Nigeria’s Wobbling, Fumbling Democracy: Whose Fault, Way Forward?’.
“Since we have only one hour to run the live session, panellists will be required by the Chairman to speak on the question, ‘Whose fault’ for two minutes each during the first half of the session and another two minutes to address the question of ‘way forward’ in the second half of the session. We are sure this will be academically and politically stimulating.
“We are excited to be hosting this session to celebrate our Crew Leader because it is our own way of contributing to the sustenance of Nigeria’s democracy.
“For now, we are still full of appreciation to all those who have supported the ParrotXtra Media Network project in the past 21 years. We pledge to continue to do our very best to add value.”
Other activities expected to be held after the live panellists session on Radio include cutting of anniversary cake, giving out of gifts to widows and others.
The statement also revealed that the day will be dedicated to God who has kept ParrotXtra Media Network in business in the past 21 years.
“In addition, we will be paying glowing tributes to one of our mentors, Elder Clement Ige who passed on last week at the age of 68. His company, Ceedee Resources was in charge of our much-talked-about 20th anniversary held with fanfare last year here in Ibadan.
It was during the celebrations last year that we introduced the first of its kind ‘Southwest Leadership & Legacy Summit’ attended by the creamiest in the society.
The special panellists’ session will be streamed live on Facebook via SplashFM 105.5 Ibadan between 11a.m. and 12 noon on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026.
Before establishing Parrot Xtra Media Network, a division of ProKonnect Limited in 2004, Ambassador Olayinka Agboola worked with Fame Weekly Magazine, Thisday Newspaper, Ovation International Magazine, Sketch Newspapers and the Nigerian Tribune. He also served late, former governor of Oyo State, Alhaji Lam Adesina as a Press Secretary.
Amb. Agboola presently superintends over ParrotXtra Media Networks’ activities that include the publication of ParrotXtra Glossy Magazine and the online version, PMParrot.com as well as the production of popular radio show, ParrotXtra Hour/Ayekooto on Splash 105.5fm, Ibadan every Tuesday by 11a.m.
