Ekiti Parapo Alumni Charged On Synergy To Develop Alma mater

 

The  National president of Ekiti Parapo College old students Association, Mr Dotun Adekanbi has urged the alumni to collaborate efforts with government in the development of their alma mater especially in the area of infrastructure and kits.

Adekanbi spoke at a  reunion organised by 1978 set of the school, held at Ido Ekiti.

Mr Adekanbi ,who maintained that the commitment of members were needed for the upliftment of the school to enviable heights, promised to carry his colleagues along and live above board.

Earlier, the Association’s former Chairman, Mr Ayo Ogunruku called on members to attract friends and corporate organizations towards renovation of the school infrastructure facilities.

A guest lecturer at the event, Mr Olufunso Adebiyi who was represented by Mr Lanre Arogundade challenged members never to relent at giving back to the school.

While appreciating Ekiti State government for its plan to make the school a model college, the present school principal, Mr Jonathan Ilesanmi emphasized” the need for more teachers to be posted to the school to make teaching and learning more effective”.

In his address, the President of the 1978 set, Dr Funmilayo odunayo who was represented by Dr Rufus Akomolafe suggested “the need for introduction of annual prizes for students of the school to encourage moral and academic quality”.

The event which was full of funfare featured donation of books to the school library, cultural dance among others.
