Ekiti HLAs Converge in Ido-Osi for Monthly Summit, Discuss Challenges, Explore Opportunities for Sustainable Development

The Heads of Local Government Administration (HLAs) in Ekiti State convened for their monthly summit, bringing together representatives from all Local Governments (LGs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) across Ekiti State.

The Monthly summit was held in Ido-Osi Local Government, hosted by Mr. Gbenga Sanya, the Head of Local Government Administration for Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The summit provided a platform for exchanging ideas, discussing challenges, and exploring opportunities for collaborative development. Its aim was to foster synergy and cooperation among HLAs, ensuring the effective delivery of essential services to Ekiti State’s people.

A seasoned administrator, Hon. Sola Ogunsina, who was also present, gave a keynote address on the roles and responsibilities of HLAs. These include providing administrative guidance, implementing local government policies and decisions, coordinating departmental activities, managing budgets and resource utilization, supervising staff, and maintaining law and order.

Mrs. Titi Toba-Ojo, Permanent Secretary of the Local Government Service Commission, spoke about contract awards, emphasizing the need for transparency, fairness, competition, value for money, and compliance.

The Chairman of Ido-Osi Local Government, Hon. Bamidele Adetiloye, welcomed the HLAs and expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests for choosing Ido-Osi as the venue. He commended Ekiti State Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for ongoing developmental projects and solicited continued support for the governor’s initiatives.
