As Nigerian muslims joined their counterparts all over the world to celebrate Eidel Fitri festival ,the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria(MMPN) ,Ekiti State chapter has urged them to use the occasion to pray for peace, security and prosperity of the country.
A statement by the State Coordinator, Alhaji Yaqoub POPOOLA , said the completion of the 30 days mandatory Ramadan Fast had given Muslims the opportunity to renew their relationships with their creator and extend love to their neighbours and less priviledged.
The statement reads:” we want to use this opportunity to give thanks to Allah, SWT, for given us yet another grace to complete the 30 days mandatory spiritual exercise and to also celebrate another Eidel Fitri. We equally appreciate all those who support and sponsor programme during the just concluded Ramadan .
“We all must be grateful to Allah for being alive to witness the beginning and the ending of Ramadan . We urge my Muslim brothers and sisters,particularly those in the media space to always churn out contents that will promote peace ,unity and progress of Nigeria .We desist from promoting divisive agenda.
” Let us use the opportunity of the Sallah festivity to pray and seek the face of Allah for peace, progress, and prosperity of our dear country.
“We should always seek divine intervention for our nation and the Sallah season provides such a unique opportunity to collectively seek the face of Allah through prayer.
” May Allah accepts our prayers and usher in abundant blessings for the faithful and restore peace and prosperity to our dear country. Once again We say Barka De Sallah and may we witness many more of the season ”,the statement said.
