Buhari Appoints Ariwoola as Acting CJN

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed the Honourable Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.

 

Ariwoola succeeds Justice Muhammad Tanko who resigned on Monday morning over alleged health grounds.

Ariwoola was appointed a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2011.

He was born on August 22, 1958.

President Buhari is expected to forward his name to the Senate for screening.
