The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ,in Ekiti state has tasked relevant Stakeholders not to relent efforts on constant awareness for parents on breastfeeding.
This is coming as the world marks this year 2022 breastfeeding week with the theme, “Step Up for Breastfeeding: Educate and Support”
NAWOJ in a statement by the Chairperson Mrs Fatima Bello and the secretary,Mrs Adewumi Ademiju enjoined nursing mothers on active breastfeeding for the newborns.

Women Journalists addded that active breastfeeding is critical to immunity of the children.
” This is to congratulate nursing mothers across the world on this year’s breastfeeding week. We make a clarion call on the stakeholders to prioritize constant and continuous sesitization, enlightenment on importance of breastfeeding for human development .
” NAWOJ shall leave no stone unturned at using our various platforms to propagate adequate breastfeeding of babies by nursing mothers”
