Adesoji Adesugba emerged NACCIMA national vice president for India affairs

The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) has announced the appointment of Adesoji Adesugba, the 1st Deputy President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), as the new National Vice President in charge of the Association’s India portfolio.

The announcement was made by Jani Ibrahim, National President of NACCIMA, during the ongoing Fourth Quarterly Executive Committee and Council Meeting. The development follows the resignation of Dr. Idi Hong, who previously held the position.

In an official communication signed by Olushola Obadimu, Director General of NACCIMA, the Association described Adesugba’s elevation as a recognition of his leadership impact and longstanding contributions to the chamber movement in Nigeria.

 

According to the letter, his election reflects the confidence members have in his capacity to advance the Association’s goals.

“Your election to this office is a clear testimony of the confidence members of the Association have in your ability to continue your contributions to the sustainable growth and development of the Association. We have no doubt that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear on the activities of the Association for positive transformation,” it stated.

As National Vice President overseeing the India Desk, Adesugba will drive strategic trade initiatives and strengthen institutional relationships between NACCIMA and its Indian counterparts, an assignment expected to boost bilateral commercial activities and create new opportunities for Nigerian businesses.

Ibrahim congratulated Adesugba, noting that his deep experience in investment promotion, trade facilitation, and institutional development will bolster NACCIMA’s strategic direction and strengthen its leadership within the organised private sector.

Reacting to the appointment, Agabaidu Jideani, Director General of ACCI, In a statement signed by Olayemi John-Mensah, Media & Strategy Officer, ACCI, commended the development and described Adesugba as a dedicated leader whose achievements continue to elevate the Chamber’s profile.

“The ACCI family is proud of Adesugba. With his deep expertise and commitment to economic growth, we are confident that he will bring positive change to NACCIMA,” he said.

He said that Adesugba’s election marks another milestone for ACCI, whose leaders increasingly occupy influential roles within national economic and private-sector institutions.
