Following the recent donation of specially designed reserved and medical benches to the Ekiti State Sports Council Management by the AllStars International, Ekiti State Chapter, the chairman of the Sports Council, Hon.Olusola Osetoba has described it as worthy new year gifts.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after receiving the benches at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado on Saturday, the Council Chaiman said the benches had further beautified the stadium.
She said it would further showcase the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium as fit to host national matches including the leagues adding that technical crews and medical personnel of teams playing every match at the stadium would henceforth comfortably sit to do their jobs more efficiently.
Hon.Osetoba applauded the gesture of the AllStars International, Ekiti State chapter with a promise to always open the door of her office to them for further discussion on how to move sports forward in the State stressing that the conducive atmosphere created by the administration of Governor Kayode Fayemi has attracted more interest, investment and commitment from individuals, groups and corporate bodies in the Sports sector.
The Sports Council boss however urged other stakeholders and sports loving individuals to compliment government’s efforts at rapidly developing sports which she described as a veritable tool to gainfully engage the youth and curb social vices.
While noting that the donation was one of her greatest experiences as the Sports Council chairman, she emphasized that members of the AllStars International have proven to be visionary individuals that are always prepared to contribute their hard earned resources towards the growth of Sports in the state urging them not to relent.
