A diesel-laden tanker fell off Otedola Bridge and burst into flames underneath the bridge inward Berger, Lagos, leaving two persons injured.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, disclosed this in an incident report on Monday, saying the incident caused traffic congestion around the area.
According to the agency, firefighters were at the scene battling the inferno, while emergency responders were attending to victims and making arrangements to convey them to the hospital.
LASTMA said its personnel were also managing traffic around the affected corridor to ensure the safety of road users and minimise disruption.
The agency advised motorists approaching the area to exercise extreme caution and comply with directives of traffic officials as emergency response operations continue.
