Benue rising star, Acha Innocent Alachenu popularly known as Kalvary, relates his personal experience in his music career in what he categorized as challenging but worthwhile.
He said he got his inspiration to venture into music from 2face, while also stating that his music means a lot to him. “I was inspired by 2face but I never knew I could sing until I join ywap(youth with a purpose). I started with rapping which I did for a few years until I sang in my church and someone told me to keep it up, so I say to my self let me give it a try and I developed myself on singing until now,” he said.
Kalvary stated that one of the challenges he is facing at the moment is his lack of good management, finance as well as a promoter, as he does everything by himself, “so far I got 6 songs out on all platforms and hoping to drop my first EP album soon. I don’t really have a hit song as all my songs means a lot to me so I will say all my songs are hit songs to me,” he stated.
Speaking further on what inspired him to venture into music, he said that, “I will say I inspired myself, I write my songs base on what I have been through or my present situation but most times my mom makes me write music.”
“My fans are my biggest motivation, they love my music because as an up coming artist getting more than 10k streams each on all my songs, is clear indication of their show of love to me. I see my self in a few years in the mouth of not only my fans here in Benue but in the mouth of all Nigerians singing my song,” he said.
