Mo Abudu Elevates Odunlade Adekola, Iyabo Ojo, Others to Executive Producers for Baba Segi Film

EbonyLife Group founder, Mo Abudu, has named Nollywood stars Odunlade Adekola, Iyabo Ojo, Bimbo Ademoye, Mercy Aigbe and Omowunmi Dada as executive producers of her upcoming film, _The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives_.

The media executive announced the appointment in a statement shared on her Instagram page on Monday, November 2.

According to Abudu, the five actors will take on roles beyond their on-screen performances, contributing to the film’s strategic vision, global distribution and executive direction.

They join the existing executive production team comprising Abudu, Nnaeto Orazalike, Moses Babatope, Guy Murray-Bruce, Cecil Hammond and Keke Hammond.

Odunlade Adekola, who plays the lead character Baba Segi, said the new responsibility offers him an opportunity to shape the film’s global impact.

“Stepping into the world of Baba Segi was a deeply rewarding artistic journey, but stepping up as an Executive Producer allows me to help shape the trajectory and impact of this iconic story on the global stage. It is an opportunity to contribute to something much bigger than my performance and to play a part in ensuring this uniquely African story reaches audiences around the world,” he said.

_The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives_, directed by Daniel Oriahi, marks EbonyLife Films’ return to cinemas after a seven-year break.

The film is scheduled to open in cinemas across Africa on December 4, 2026, with international and diaspora theatrical releases slated for December 11.
