IIJ Students Union Commends Ekiti NUJ over Campus Connection to National Grid

The Students Representative Council, (SRC) of the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja (IIJ), Ado-Ekiti campus has commended Ekiti State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ) for connecting the campus to the national grid.

In a letter of appreciation signed by the SRC President, Seun Ayodele, the students body noted that the steps taken by the NUJ to provide electricity for the campus are yielding the desired results as academic and social activities in the institution have improved.

They equally showered encomium on the Chairman of the union, Comrade Kayode Babatuyi for his unwavering commitment towards ensuring that academic excellence thrive in the institution.

The letter reads: “On behalf of the entire Student body of the International Institute of Journalism, Ado Campus, I write to express our sincere appreciation for your immense support and commitment in facilitating the recent electricity connection to our campus”.

“Your intervention, through your notable office as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists played a critical role in resolving a long-standing challenge that had affected both academic and social activities in our institution”.

“We recognized and commend your dedication to the development of education and students welfare, which your actions have greatly demonstrated. This success is not just a boost to the functionality of our facilities but also a strong encouragement to use as students, reminding us that leadership, collaboration, and advocacy can create real change”, the students body said.
