NMA Honours Oyebanji for Prioritizing Welfare of Doctors

The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has been honoured by the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Ekiti State Chapter for his significant contributions to the welfare of doctors and health workers in the state.

The Governor was honoured during the annual luncheon and award ceremony organized by the Ekiti State chapter of the NMA in Ado-Ekiti.

The Governor who was represented by the secretary to Ekiti State Government Dr Habibat Adubiaro received a letter of commendation and an award in appreciation of the improved welfare package and the payment of arrears of salaries to medical practitioners in the State Public Service.

Oyebanji expressed gratitude to the Association for the recognition and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to the continued well-being of healthcare professionals in Ekiti State.

In addition to the award presented to the Governor, the Secretary to the State Government,Dr. Adubiaro was personally honored with the “Friend of the Association” award by the NMA, recognizing her efforts and support for the medical community in Ekiti State.

The colourful event which has : “The Burden of Sudden Death Among the Young” as it’s theme underscored the Association’s commitment and the State Government’s dedication to enhancing the healthcare sector and ensuring that medical professionals are adequately supported in their roles.
