The AkinỌmỌAkin Constituency Office, in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Ikole and Oye Chapters, successfully hosted an Easter Thanksgiving service themed “Salt of the Earth” on March 29, 2024, at the Civic Centre Oye Ekiti.
The event, which brought together constituents and members of the Christian community, was aimed at celebrating the Easter season and reflecting on the significance of being agents of positive change in society. Reverend Tunde Afe, Senior Pastor/Founder of House of Faith Christian Center, delivered an inspiring message as the guest speaker, emphasizing the importance of active Christian involvement in promoting positive change.
“We are delighted by the success of the Easter Thanksgiving service and the enthusiastic participation of our constituents,” said Rep. Akintunde Rotimi, Jr., Member of the House of Representatives for Ekiti North 1 (Ikole/Oye) and convener of the event. “It was a time of worship, reflection, gratitude, and unity, and we are grateful to Rev. Afe for his insightful message.”
Rep. Rotimi, Jr. also conveyed a heartfelt Easter message, extending warm wishes to all constituents for a joyous Easter celebration. He emphasized the importance of the season, urging everyone to reflect on the selfless and loving nature of Jesus Christ and to emulate His example in their lives.
The service, which commenced at 1:00 pm, featured prayers, hymns, and a special thanksgiving session. Participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to come together in worship and fellowship during the Easter season.
