The management of Ajayi Polytechnic,Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State has lined up some activities to immortalise the Chairman, Governing Council of the Institution, Sir Michael Akinola Ajayi, who passed on recently.
The institution in it’s part of the arrangements has decided to give out scholarship to first registered 85 candidates in the school.
According to the Founder, Dr. Busayo Ajayi, “the scholarship which comes in both full and part, would be tution free for the first 85 registered students and 50% for the rest”This he said, would be done in conjunction with, Sir Michael Akinola Ajayi Memorial Foundation.
The Polytechnic, began operation in 2017, following the NBTE approval and accreditation of the five courses that the institution took off with, and the mission is to Raise Industrial Giants, that would be able to rise above their competitors across the world.
The five courses the Polytechnic started with are: Accountancy, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Elect/Elect. With the recent accreditation of additional courses in the Institution, the Polytechnic is now having HND Accountancy, Computer Science and Statistics. While others courses in National Diploma include: Accountancy, Computer Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, Elect/Elect, Computer Engineering and Science Laboratory Technology.
Dr. Ajayi explained that “the Scholarship is opened to every candidate that sat for the 2021/2022 UTME and those still awaiting their O’level results and that NYSC is guaranteed for all full time HND students at the end of their programmes.
“We have commenced registration because the opportunity is just for a limited number of people”. The Founder stated.
