2023: Nigerians react as APC fixes N100m for Presidential form

Reactions have continued to trail the decision of the All progressives Congress APC on the cost of presidential form of the party which aspirant must pay to contest under the platform.

 

The APC on Wednesday after the emergency meeting of the National Executive committe announced the prices of nomination and expression of interest form at the rate of N100 million, while the governorship form goes for N50 million.

 

The announcement was made by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

 

“The presidential nomination form would be sold for N70 million while expression of interest form would go for N30 million”

 

Morka also announced that contrary to an earlier announcement by the party’s National Women Leader, the form would not be totally free for women as they would pay for expression of interest.

 

Some Nigerians who reacted to the development described the cost of the aspiration form as “too exorbitant”.

 

“It’s a pity that such contest could cost as much as that amount considering economic challenges affecting the nation ‘.

 

Another reaction stated” what impact will the cost of the form have on innocent Nigerians,ASUU strike, Insecurity, only God can deliver this nation from the hand of Politicians”.
