In its bid to expose local and private sports oriented initiatives, the executive of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Ekiti State Chapter will tomorrow (Saturday) visit the first known privately owned sports academy , Voki Sports Academy situated at Iloro Ekiti in Ido-Osi local government area of the state.
The visit aimed at commemorating the first anniversary of the executive of SWAN is also to further expose the Sports Journalists to the tourist destination owned by the Kolawole family.
A statement issued by the SWAN chairman, Qozeem Oladapo says the move is also to identify with one of the patrons of the Association who is the Ceo of the Sports Academy, Dr (Mrs) Adenike Kolawole who has been of great support to the Association since she and two others were inaugurated as patrons in 2021.
The body of Sports journalists while appreciating the sports stakeholders in Ekiti state , it called for more support and sponsorship for some the programs of SWAN in 2022.
The trio of Dr Dayo Oladebeye (Rector Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti), Dr Mrs Adenike Kolawole (Ceo Voki Sports Academy ) and Mr Yemi Owoseni (Former Ekiti State Permanent Secretary) were applauded for identifying with SWAN , with a promise to keep the flag of the good works done in the last one year by the present executive flying.
