Yoruba Nation: Oyo government urges residents to report illegal activities in their areas

Oyo state government has urged residents in the state to report any illegal and life-threatening activities in and across the state to the government.

The state Commissioner for Lands, Housing, Survey and Urban Development, Arch William Akin-Funmilayo, stated this while speaking on the demolition of a building allegedly belonging to the Yoruba Nation agitators in Ibadan.

Arch Akin-Funmilayo stated it is time for the people of Oyo state to say something when they see something, adding, “The government will give you peace of mind. The government is here to maintain security”.

Speaking on the demolition, the Commissioner said Oyo state government pulled it down after obtaining a court order

The demolition was carried out two days ago. We obtained a court order from High Court on April 16,2024 to demolish the building, having got information that the Yoruba Nation agitators used the place. This building belongs to them. It houses dangerous weapons’.
