The Nigeria Union of Journalists Ekiti State Council has congratulated all journalists in the state and leaders of the union particularly in southwest for the grace of God that sustained their lives to witness this year’s Christmas.
The union in a statement by its chairman, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela which was signed on his behalf by the Secretary,Kayode Babatuyi also felicitates media proprietors, veterans and partners saying the season calls for celebration considering the hurdles that were crossed this year.
It reads “We are grateful to God who has kept our members safe to witness this season, we have every reason to celebrate our being alive not minding the various hardship experienced.
“Its our prayers that the lord will preserve our lives to witness many more Christmas in good health and abundance.
The statement urges journalists to celebrate with modesty and respect all public health measures.
It calls on government both at the state and Federal level to enhance the welfare of Journalists.
