To hell with Tokunbo Ajila Jakande?

One of the faces I hate to see in the polical theatre pavilion of Ekiti State is one lady called Tokunbo Ajila Jakande . TAJ .

See , I am not one of those people who are easily bamboozled or dazzled by sheer beauty.

I am not not.

You know I hate good looking and beautiful women particularly those with good brains
I am not one of those who small change or stipends can sway his sense of rationality.

I am not one of those who can be lured to change his opinion with monetary gains
So I am not one who will call black yellow because of one gratification or the other
Hence I am free to push my opinion out as freely as I can’t.

Hence ,my article today is about this lady called Tokunbo Ajila Jakande
I don’t know
I am not just pleased with this lady
And sincerely
To hell with Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande.
Yes now to hell with her?
Who the hell does she think she is?
What is even inside this name, TAJ, that it is beginning to ring like public holiday bell in Ado-Ekiti?

Is she the daughter of the Queen of England? Is she the niece of Dangote?
Is she the granddaughter of Solomon?
What is all this noise? Who is she sef?
Se Ewi Ado lo bi ni ?
Sorry is she the daughter of Ewi Ado?

Is she not that very ordinary woman from Ado-Ekiti?
What is in her? Absolutely nothing. Rubbish.
Total rubbish.
And please don’t tell me nonsense like, “Oh she invested in the hospitality sector of Ekiti,” because that one does not concern me. People invest every day. People open shops. People sell pure water. Why should her own matter? Abi na she invent tourism?

And that bakery?
Yes, yes, the almighty bakery that produces first-class bread not to make profit but to chase hunger out of the stomachs of her people — and so what?
Who hunger help?
Who bakery rescue? Abeg shift.

This is why I insist: Tokunbo Ajila Jakande is a nobody.
A complete nobody.
Until , yes, until , you mistakenly scratch the surface of her “nothingness,” and suddenly you discover that her “nobody” status is dangerously loaded with substance, compassion, competence, intelligence, philanthropy, and a shocking track record that will make some “big men” bow their heads in shame.

But let us continue the useless propaganda: “Who is she?”
After all, she was only born December 5, 1971 into the Asamo dynasty of Ado-Ekiti and Lucia’s lineage in Osun-Ekiti. Nothing spectacular. She only attended Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School, Lagos. Nothing special. She only studied PHYSICS at the University of Lagos. Physics o — not fishery. That one too is nothing. Anybody can study Physics abi?

She only served at NNPC working on seismic interpretation of CHAD Basin — ordinary small job ?
She only worked in top oil and gas institutions home and abroad — small matter?
She only worked with AT&T as an Application Specialist — who AT&T help?
She only became DG of Green Energy Society of Nigeria where she helped draft Nigeria’s Official Biofuel Gazette — rubbish ?
She only helped secure 10,000 hectares for biofuel development in Ilemeso Ekiti — we don’t care.

She only pushed clean energy projects and efficient cook stoves that saved forests and children’s lungs — we are not impressed abi?

She is today the Head of Sea Protection Unit at NIMASA — environmental guardian of Nigeria’s maritime space and I ask again: who is she?

Does she carry siren? Does she shout?
Does she announce? No! And that is another problem — she commits the unforgivable crime of doing REAL WORK quietly. In Nigeria, that is a terrible sin.

Let us go deeper into her “nobody-ness.”
She created the TAJ Children Foundation from her personal pocket — not constituency allowance, not government subvention.
That foundation has touched more than 600 children. Sixty hundred! Just like that!
She sponsors seven children from primary school to university — nonsense ? Abi
She built a 20-million-naira community interactive centre at Igirigiri Road — free hall, free movie screening, free computer room — rubbish gesture.?

She dug boreholes. Distributed palliatives. Bought GCE forms. Offered free tutoring. Supported elders with monthly stipends since 2020 — 125 elders o — who told her to do that?

Did anybody beg her? Why is she behaving as if she owns Ekiti any obligation or gesture ?

She installed solar street lights where darkness had relocated permanently preventing we the men of the dark from carrying out our crimes . Oluya oniyan She provided rice, wheelchairs, water kegs, umbrellas to those who earnestly need them . She donates to party members without being an office holder like a true mother Christmas
. And this same “nobody” is the ONLY political figure who celebrates Children’s Day in Ekiti in grand style every year — six years running.
Children call her “Iya Ewé.” But who children help? What is the meaning of love for children in politics? Absolutely useless, right?

Let us be honest: the real problem is that Tokunbo Ajila Jakande is dangerously good. Painfully decent. Annoyingly generous. Offensively humble. Irritatingly effective. She is the kind of woman whose mere existence exposes the dryness of those who only talk and never do. She is the kind of woman whose quiet works shame the loud empty barrels. She is the kind of woman who gives without documenting, serves without shouting, empowers without taking pictures, and uplifts without expecting worship.

So yes, to hell with her — if goodness is your enemy.
To hell with her if compassion vexes you. To hell with her , if your insecurity cannot withstand her competence.
To hell with her , if your mediocrity cannot coexist with her brilliance.
To hell with her , if her kindness shines too brightly for your dim heart.
To hell with her , if her humanitarian spirit exposes your selfishness. To hell with her , if her humility threatens your false swagger.

But for those of us whose hearts still understand goodness… for those whose spirits still recognise light…
for those whose eyes still appreciate genuine service
for children who laugh because of her…
for elders who eat because of her…
for widows who breathe easier because of her… for communities that shine because of her… for party members who survive because of her… for families who rise because of her…

She is not a nobody.
She is a destiny helper.
She is a burden-lifter.
She is a quiet warrior.
She is a rare human being in a country where rare things do not last.
She is a blessing disguised in human flesh.

So, to hell with Tokunbo Ajila-Jakande?
No.
To heaven with her.
To honour with her.
To greatness with her.
To the future with her.

For in a world where many talk, she acts.
Where many pretend, she produces.
Where many shine for show, she shines for people.
And where many seek relevance, she seeks impact.

This is TAJ.
And if this is what it means to be “nobody,” then may Ekiti be populated with many more nobodies just like her.
Tokunbo Ajila Jakande,TAJ is jus
Talented
Amazingly
Judicious.
God blessed the womb who bore her
Hiokun ooo
