Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has accepted a boxing challenge from fellow singer and entertainer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni.
Teni threw down the challenge in a video shared on her Instagram page, directly calling on the award-winning singer to face her in the boxing ring.
In the caption accompanying the video, Teni wrote, “Mama!!! Make we fight @tiwasavage. 3 billion later, I go apologise for outside the boxing ring.”
Tiwa Savage responded shortly after Teni’s challenge, appearing ready to take up the proposed bout.
The “Somebody’s Son” crooner replied with a brief but direct message: “Pick a date.”
Teni’s challenge has sparked reactions among fans, particularly because of the playful nature of the proposed fight between the two Nigerian music stars.
The singer’s call-out appeared to be made in a light-hearted manner, while her reference to apologising outside the boxing ring added a humorous touch to the challenge.
Tiwa, however, did not shy away from the challenge, responding by asking Teni to choose a date for the proposed bout.

The challenge comes less than 72 hours after former Big Brother Naija housemate Phyna defeated Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing match.
