A Chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC), Prince Adeolu Tinubu has declared his intention to run for Ekiti South Federal Constituency II seat (Gbonyin, Ekiti East and Emure) in the forthcoming January 16, 2027 general elections.
Prince Tinubu is a US-based Nigerian business mogul, public health practitioner and a former Secretary-General of the GRENADA Civil Rights Organization.
Prince Tinubu, who hails from Emure Ekiti has actively participated in local politics, including calling for unity among APC leaders in Ekiti State in 2020.
He had served as the Chairman of the Ekiti State University (EKSU) Alumni, USA chapter and a former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) State Awards winner.
Tinubu, a NYSC state award winner during his youth service year and founder of Ekiti state university alumni organization in the USA. In 2023, he was appointed as a member of the Tinubu/ Shetima 2023 presidential campaign council.
Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti, Tinubu noted that his decision to contest is born out of his sincere desire to give his people a stronger voice and more effective representation at the National Assembly.
He added that his decision to run under APC is as result of the giant strides of President Bola Tinubu and the people-oriented style of governance adopted by Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State.
His words, “My decision to seek the mandate to represent Ekiti South Federal Constituency II is born out of a sincere desire to give our people a stronger voice and more effective representation at the National Assembly.
“Our constituency is blessed with hardworking farmers, vibrant youths and resilient entrepreneurs who deserve policies and opportunities that will help them thrive.
“I am committed to championing initiatives that will attract federal projects, improve infrastructure, support agriculture and create real economic opportunities for our communities.
““I believe leadership is about service, accessibility and delivering results that directly impact the lives of the people.
“If given the opportunity to become the candidate of the party and further win the election, I will work tirelessly to ensure that Ekiti South Federal Constituency II receives its fair share of development while promoting unity, empowerment and progress across every town and village in our constituency.
“Together, we can build a future where the voices and aspirations of our people are fully represented and respected”.
