The Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Hon. Bamidele Omoleye has congratulated the State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his recognition as Man of the Year by Silverbird Television.
Oyebanji had on Sunday, in Lagos, received the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year award at a ceremony where Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Enugu state Governor, Peter Mbah, received the Governors of the Year award.
The council boss described the award as a fitting tribute to the Governor’s exceptional leadership, which he said has significantly transformed Ekiti State through the implementation of his peoples’ oriented policies, robust governance and inclusiveness in all strata of his administration.
Omoleye noted that the Governor’s developmental efforts across critical sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure, inclusive governance, among others had set a benchmark for purposeful governance and set the state on the path of sustainable growth, making him a deserving recipient of the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year Award.
He commended the Governor for his visionary approach to governance, which he said has brought remarkable progress in infrastructure, education, health care, and economic empowerment to all sectors in the state.
According to him, “the award reflects the Governor’s relentless commitment to inclusive development and his ability to connect with the aspirations of Ekiti people both home and in the diaspora” .
“This honor by SilverBird Television underscores the governor’s tireless efforts to position Ekiti State as a beacon of excellence in governance,” he stated.
Omoleye further urged the governor to see the recognition as a testament of his good governance and his popularity in the state .
He assured the Governor of the unwavering support of all well meaning individual in the Local Government area to enable him steer the Ship of the State to a safety harbour.

Meanwhile,as the Lenten season begin , Christians have been charged to use the period to pray for the Nation and the world in general for peace and progress to reign.
The call was made by the Chairman of Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Hon. Bamidele Omoleye while speaking with newsmen in his office in Ido-Ekiti, the headquarters of Ido/Osi Local Government area of the State.
Omoleye who noted that the Lenten Season was in commemoration of how Jesus Christ fasted and prayed for forty days and nights in the wilderness as well as of his death and resurrection, urged Christians to emulate the teachings of the saviour of the world adding that such will breathe peace, tranquility and progress into all spheres of the Nation’s economy.
“Christian must be disciplinMed to help us renew our relationships with God , while prayers and fasting deepens our relationship with God, it also sharpens our will and helps us evaluate things we might be attached to in an unhealthy way”.
He assured that the Nation will be better if all believers could call on God with a pure heart.
The council boss while saying that Christians used fasting to totally humble themselves as worldly things were avoided, also pointed out that it was a period to seek the face of God and totally repent from sins .
He called on Christians as they pray for themselves and families to remember Nigeria and her leader their prayers stressing that the prayers of the saints will help the leaders in the governance to make good decisions and policies that would better the lots of all citizens.
He stressed the need for Christians to ask for the Holy Spirit so as not to go back to sins after the forty days in order to achieve God’s purpose of being created.
