The Senator representing Oyo South, Senator Sarafadeen Alli, Sunday has cried out over a fake empowerment process put in place on his behalf by someone to defraud members of the public.
He raised the alarm in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan by his special adviser on Media, Akeem Abass.
The statement said Senator Alli is not involved in any such activities and has not authorised anyone to demand money on his behalf for such purposes.“It has come to our attention that someone has been using the name of our principal, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, to defraud people on the pretext of providing empowerment opportunities,” it said.
The statement added: “Please be informed that Senator Alli is not involved in any such activities and has not authorised anyone to demand money on his behalf for such purposes.”
