Rasheed Balogun ‘ll Be Greatly Missed For Huge Impact on Nig. Football- Ekiti United FC

 

The management of Ekiti United FC said it received with great shock the sad news of  demise of the General Manager, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Rasheed Balogun.

 

 

In a condolence message signed by the secretary of Ekiti United FC, Ayodeji Olowolafe , the management described the death as unfortunate and unpalatable.

The Ekiti State owned team commiserated with the management and entire fans of Shootings stars Sports Club on the loss of the General Manager, Alhaji Rasheed Balogun who passed away on Thursday January 20 after an illness.

Ekiti United noted that the late Balogun gallantly fought the battle and never gave up even when the road was rough and the journey was tough until he led Shooting Stars Sports Club to the Nigeria Professional Football League from the lower league.

Olowolafe described the late football administrator as a mentor , a legend and a leader with immeasurable energy and passion for the round leather game.

He said “many football club owners and administrators will greatly miss the late Balo as he was fondly called owing to the numerous impacts he made on various clubs especially those in the South West of the country”.

Ekiti United FC prays for the repose of the deceased and fortitude for the family, friends and loved ones to bear the loss.
