The Wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has congratulated the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 66th birthday, describing her as a woman whose life continues to reflect the virtues of service, compassion, resilience and dedication to humanity.
Dr. Oyebanji, in a statement personally signed by her, said Senator Tinubu’s 66th birthday provides another opportunity to appreciate a remarkable journey that has taken her from the classroom to public service and leadership at different levels, culminating in her present role as First Lady of Nigeria.
The Ekiti State First Lady particularly commended Senator Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare of women, children, young people and vulnerable members of society, saying her interventions through the Renewed Hope Initiative have continued to bring relief and encouragement to families across the country.
According to Dr. Oyebanji, the impact of Senator Tinubu’s humanitarian interventions is also evident in Ekiti State, where students have benefited from scholarships and digital devices, female farmers have received financial assistance and agricultural inputs, and widows and senior citizens have benefited from various forms of support.
She said these interventions have not only provided material assistance but have also restored confidence and strengthened beneficiaries’ belief in a better future.
Dr. Oyebanji expressed particular appreciation for Senator Tinubu’s recent visit to Ekiti State, where thousands of traders were empowered under the Renewed Hope Initiative and a state-of-the-art Information and Communication Technology Centre was inaugurated at Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti.
The Ekiti State First Lady said Senator Tinubu’s ability to combine public responsibility with compassion and concern for ordinary Nigerians makes her 66th birthday a significant occasion for celebration and thanksgiving.
