
The immediate past Deputy Registrar and Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti, Dr. Bode Olofinmuagun, has assumed duties as the 4th substantive Registrar of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Oyo State.
The approval of Dr. Olofinmuagun’s appointment by the Governing Council of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, was conveyed through a letter dated 5th January, 2026 and signed by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the university, Dr. Olutoyin Okeowo.
Dr. Olofinmuagun, a native of Ido – Ekiti, headquarters of Ido/Osi Local Government of Ekiti State attended Agbasa Primary School, Warri, Delta State, Central School, Okene, Kogi State and St. John’s Primary School, Ido Ekiti for his primary education between 1973 and 1979. He proceeded to Oganganmodu Grammar School, Ido – Ekiti, between 1979 and 1984 for his secondary education.
He worked as a freelance corresspondent with the Ondo State Radiovision Corporation, Akure and Ido/Osi Local Government, Ido – Ekiti as a Clerical Officer and later, Senior Clerical Officer between 1986 and 1992. During the 1991/1992 academic session, he gained admission into the then Ondo State University, Ado – Ekiti where he graduated with a B.Ed degree in English Language. He later obtained a Master of Public Administration, Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in English Language, all from Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti. He also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, Abuja.
Dr. Olofinmuagun worked as Higher Executive Officer, Information Officer and Administrative Officer in the Local Government Service of Ekiti State between 2001 and 2008 where he transversed Ido/Osi, Ikere, Emure, Ijero and Efon Local Government Areas.
On 1st August, 2008, he was appointed as Administrative Officer 1 by Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti. He has worked in various units and departments such as: Registrar’s Office, General Administration Department, Directorate of Personnel, Office of Research and Development, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences (as Faculty Officer), before he was seconded to head the Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs where he was in charge of the publicity and media management of the university.
Dr. Olofinmuagun is a member of professional bodies such as: Association of Nigeria University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), where he served as the EKSU Branch Secretary, Association of University Administrators (AUA, UK), Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (IPAN) and the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
He is married to Mrs Abimbola Olofinmuagun and the marriage is blessed with children.
