NUJ CONGRATULATES BSES ON BEST RADIO STATION AWARD

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, BSES Chapel, has congratulated the Management and staff of the Broadcasting Service of Ekiti State, BSES, on the station’s emergence as the Best Radio Station in Ekiti State for 2026.

The award, presented by the Year of Merit Awards for Foremost Achievers, YOMAFA, at a ceremony in Lagos, recognised BSES for its contributions to broadcasting, public enlightenment, entertainment, culture and community development.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, Mr Kelechi David and the Secretary, Mr Adedayo Adeleye, the Chapel also commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for supporting the corporation with connection to the national grid and the Independent Power Project, IPP, which have helped address its electricity challenges, improve broadcast stability and enhance productivity.

The union, however, appealed to the State Government to provide more hands, particularly in the News Department, as well as modern broadcast equipment and operational vehicles to improve news coverage and productivity.

The NUJ BSES Chapel promised its continued commitment to professional ethics and the delivery of credible and timely information to the people of Ekiti State.

The union once again congratulated the General Manager, Management and staff of BSES on the prestigious award and thanked Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his continued support for the corporation.
