The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Ekiti State Chapter has felicitated the Head of Service of the State, Dr. Folakemi Olomojobi on the occasion of her birthday celebration, describing her as a pride to womanhood and an icon of exemplary public service.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Chairperson, Adewumi Ademiju, and the Secretary, Funmi Falae, the Association said Dr. Olomojobi has distinguished herself as a vibrant, focused and result-driven leader whose administrative ingenuity has repositioned the Ekiti State civil service for greater efficiency, discipline and productivity.
NAWOJ Ekiti particularly lauded the Head of Service for “her unwavering support for female journalists in the state”, noting that “her doors have always remained open to women in the pen profession”.
The Association stated that Dr. Olomojobi has consistently shown solidarity with NAWOJ programs, and has remained a strong advocate for inclusive governance where women’s voices are heard and valued.
The women journalists also commended her remarkable contributions to women and child care development in Ekiti State.
According to NAWOJ, “Dr. Olomojobi, both as a seasoned administrator and a mother, has championed policies and actions that promote the welfare, health and empowerment of women and children, thereby complementing the efforts of the Ekiti State Government in building a more humane and equitable society”.
The Association further described her leadership style as inspiring, motherly and yet firm, a rare combination that has earned her the respect of civil servants across all cadres and has made the civil service more responsive and people-oriented.
“As she marks another year, NAWOJ Ekiti prayed for sound health, long life and greater wisdom for Dr. Olomojobi to continue her meritorious service to Ekiti State and humanity,” stressing that her vibrant leadership remains a beacon of hope and a source of pride to the entire womenfolk.
The Association reaffirmed its support for her office and pledged continued partnership in advancing the cause of women, children and good governance in Ekiti State.
