The National Association of Oduduwa Students (NAOS) has congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, on his well-deserved elevation by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Chief of Defence Staff (CDS).
NAOS also commended President Tinubu for his thoughtful and strategic reshufflement of the military leadership, which they said demonstrates his strong commitment to professionalism, efficiency, and national balance.

“This decision reflects the President’s dedication to strengthening Nigeria’s defence architecture and ensuring effective coordination in tackling security challenges across the country.
“The Association proudly celebrates the appointment of General Olufemi Oluyede, a distinguished Yoruba son, as a reflection of merit, competence, and trust. His elevation to this highly revered position is a source of pride and inspiration to the entire Yoruba nation and a testament to President Tinubu’s belief in fairness and inclusion,” they said.
NAOS expresses confidence that General Oluyede will bring his vast military experience, discipline, and leadership acumen to bear in restoring confidence, professionalism, and effectiveness in the nation’s Armed Forces.
The Association urges him to remain steadfast, patriotic, and people-focused in his service to the nation.
NAOS also reaffirms its unwavering support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in his continuous efforts to reposition key national institutions for stability, security, and sustainable development.
