
The Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti HRM Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi AFUNTADE 1,has urged the Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital, Ido Ekiti,Professor Kolawole Ogundipe to uplift the Federal Teaching Hospital Annex in Ilawe to provide 24-hour medical services to the people.
The Oba also called for the use of the state of the art equipment in the hospital Annex including laboratory facilities to meet the yearnings and demands of patients .
The Alawe made the demands while welcoming the Chief Medical Director of Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti to his palace today, Tuesday ,May 5,2026.

Oba Alabi frowned at a situation “whereby modern medical facilities are lying fallow without being used to attend to patients in Ilawe-Ekiti and those who may travel from other neighbouring communities”
The Alawe used the occasion to extol the contributions of Barrister Femi Falana SAN and Senator Yemi Adaramodu and many indigenes of Ilawe-Ekiti to the growth of Hospital Annex
He commended the Director and his team for keeping the annex working in the face of tight economic measures in the country.
The Medical Director, Professor Ogundipe thanked the Alawe and Ilawe-Ekiti community for their support financially and through other measures
He promised to make sure that “the Teaching Hospital Annex meets the demands of the people “.
The Director thanked Ilawe-Ekiti community for the financial and material donations to the Annex.
Professor Ogundipe who came with the management team of the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti promised “to always update the community concerning the progress of the Teaching Annex.”.
At the occasion were all quarter heads in Ilawe-Ekiti and female Chiefs
