Lions Club donates educational materials to Less Privileged in Ekiti

The Ekiti Legacy Lions Club has donated educational materials to the less privileged aimed at supporting their back to school new academic session.

The donation was given to the students of Corpus Christi Secondary School in Ilawe Ekiti.

The charter president Ekiti Legacy Lions Club Lion Chief Folake Adebayo said the initiative was part of the club’s annual “Back to School” project to alleviate the burdens of some of the parents of the students to make learning easy for the future generations.

Lion Chief Folake said the event highlighted the Lions Club’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and promoting literacy among the youths.

A Member of the club Lion Mary added that the gesture was designed to support and ensure every child has access to the tools they need to succeed academically.

Other club members who engaged with the students, encouraged them to take full advantage of the resources provided and strive for excellence in their studies.

The organizer of the initiative Ekiti Legacy Lions club President Chief Folake emphasised that the initiative not only aimed to address immediate educational needs but also to sought and inspire a culture of giving and community support.

She promised that the Club will continue its mission to empower individuals and uplift the community, fostering a brighter future for all.

Materials donated were customized notebooks, pen, pencil and other writing materials.

Some of the beneficiaries Master Dayo Opaleye and Miss Sade Oluwatobi who could not hide their joy appreciated Ekiti Legacy Lion club for the gesture of love, promising to face their studies and become a good students.

Other sister clubs who were part of the initiative were Ado Ekiti Unique Lions Club and Ekiti One Mind Lions Club.
