LG poll: APC records Landslide Victory In Ebonyi

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ebonyi state, has won all the 13 chairmanship seats and 171 councillorship positions in last Saturday local government election conducted by the state Independent Electoral Commission (EB-SIEC).

Declaring the results in Abakaliki, the Chairman of EBSIEC, Mr Patrick Enyi, noted that other political parties participated in the election.

He described the outcome of the election as peaceful, credible and transparent.

Enyi announced the winners to include Ishielu council (Mrs Peace Agwu); Hon Paul Ituma (Ohaukwu ), Hon Friday Nwuhuo (Ezza North ), Hon Chinedu Mjpuma (Ezza south), Hon Chidi Nwode (Ikwo), and Hon Timothy Nwachi (Afikpo ) respectively.

 

Others include Hon Ikechukwu Ogbofia (Onicha), Hon Michael Kalu Anyim ( Ivo ), Edda Chief Simeon Onuoha (Edda), Mrs Helen Aduga (Izzi local government area, Hon. Chidiebere Alo (Abakaliki) and Hon. Chibueze Odigwe. for Ebonyi local government area.

In an interview, Mr Osborn Umahi who was declared the chairmanship winner for Ohaozara council, commended the electoral umpire for the conduct of the election describing the exercise as transparent and peaceful.

He promised to transform his council through rural development, empowerment and agricultural revolution.

Speaking in the same vein, the state chairman of APC Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, stated that the victory of his party was a confirmation that there was no other political parties existing in the state.
